Task: Find appropriate fonts for these businesses;

A funeral parlour
A solicitor firm
A kid’s party shop
A flower shop
A trendy clothing store
A boutique organic supermarket
An inner city café
A public transport system
A professional photographer
A retro-style bicycle manufacturer
 Once done, think of another business or store and create a type-based logo for it.

Evaluation: This task/exercise was a good learning and analyzing task. In having to choose the right fonts for the different businesses I had to think which would be more appropriate and appealing towards the consumers of the businesses. For example, a funeral parlour would have a serious font as opposed to a font that was playful and fun that would attract a child, that font would be more appropriate for a kid’s party shop. A font for a public transport system would be simple and easy to read for all and a trendy clothing store would have a stylish font that would attract the teenagers or the customers to the store. Overall, the task was a great way to learn about how different fonts would be appropriate for different reasons and circumstances as well as how fonts are important in lots of different aspects of society and how it is appropriate to use the different fonts.
